The FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) method is a non-surgical operation, therefore its is highly preferred by the patients. As a pioneer country in hair transplantation, in Turkey, the FUE method is started to be implemented in 2004. In this method, the hair roots are taken one by one with a special tip micromotor and transported to the bald zone.
The FUE hair transplantation is performed under local anesthesia. The anesthesia is only applied to the subject region. The sensation of slight pain only occurs during anesthesia, but it is a temporary pain sensation and easily be tolerated. Then the method is applied without feeling pain.
As each person's hair structure is different, the number of roots taken varies from person to person. For this reason, the result depends on the individual person.
With the FUE hair transplant method, an average of 2,000 to 4,000 grafts per patient can be easily removed from patients (due to differences in back part of the heads, the number may even increase more). 1 graft of hair is equal to approximately 2- 2.5 hairs. Thus, it comes back as 4,000 – 10,000 hairs.
FUE is a very effective method of hair transplantation which is highly preferred by the patients as it is applied without the incision or stitching.
